Megumi
Megumi is a headline serif design commissioned by a fashion and lifestyle magazine with a heavy Japanese influence; it never happened. The uppercase letters are narrow and have an almost monospaced aesthetic, being influenced by Romaji letterforms. The serif is sculptural, and the italic is sinuous. Graphic designers will use it editorially, but it will also look sumptuous on museum displays and posters, couture labels and perfumes, and even postmodern book covers and title pages.
